Frackin' Follicles...
Just curious, how do you feel about the hair styles in BSG? Do they date the show? Are they just right for that particular series? Would you like it better if they had gone with a more conservative look? Could Athena have done with less hair spray? Did Starbuck's magically changing hair length in Ice Planet Zero drive you nuts? Was Serena's mane awesome?
Thoughts?
Good shampoo recommendations?

No the hair did or does not bother me... helps to set the style and look to the show for me.

Hair was okay. To me it kinda compliments the Warrior uniform somehow.

Re: Frackin' Follicles...
I've no complaints. I liked the way that most of the men looked. Back then, I would take a pic of Richard Hatch when I got my hair cut. To be quite honest, other than length, I haven't varied much over the years. These days, I wear my hair as long as most men did back in the 70's - I'm bored with the quasil-military length cuts that have been in fashion for so long.
As for the women, I don't think that the hairstyles look all that bad - at least in those days, women styled their hair as opposed to today where some throw in some mousse, etc., tousle it about and call it finished.
I guess I'm lucky - at age 50, I still have all my hair and it's 80% still the original color with bits of gray creeping in. All I have to do is keep it clean and looking good. Thank the gods I didn't take after the men on my mom's side of the family or all my hair would have bailed by the time I turned 30...

Re: Frackin' Follicles...
Starbuck's changing hair length was funny.. that scene in the computer room where he is altering the records were he can't keep it out of his face screamed get a haircut LOL. Thru the series it often changes in the shade of blonde, too :-) Apollo's styling was sometimes a bit odd and other times looked excellent.
It sort of depened on if it really suited them: Boomer generally looked good, Cassies' change in length was an improvement. Serina's hair was awesome, Rigels experiment with plaits became the signature look.
Jolly, Boxey and Siress Bellaby were far more dated
Some of the random extras were shocking.
Cheers,
Lara

Re: Frackin' Follicles...
I don´t think it ages the show ....... perhaps if it was set on Earth it might , but it in a system far far far away lol.
the thing about BSG was never the hair or effects ...... it was the characters that grab you and held on to you ..
Boomer fine
Boxy ,,, I had that type of hair back then.
the woman
all stunning and sexy. nuff said there or I will have to run for a cold shower.

I don't even notice the hair, but they all look fine to me. The ladies looked fantastic, nothing like that flowing, curly Farah Fawcett type hair back then!! Wow!
