Dead Actors: Robert Psstorelli and Paul Winfield
'Murphy Brown' Co-Star Robert Pastorelli Dies Aged 49
Eldin Bernecky, Murphy’s house painter, found dead in his house with drug paraphernalia nearby,
Actor Paul Winfield Dead at Age 62
died of a heart attack on Sunday night at a Los Angeles hospital. He played civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. on television and earned an Oscar nomination for his role as a share-cropping father in "Sounder,"
I loved these two actors and was sad to hear of their deaths. Had a soft spot for the crazy house painter

Below is a copy of what I posted at Kingfish's board - Battlestar Rycon:

I am truly saddened by this news, Paul.
Paul Winfield also play the part of Dathan (sp) in one of my favorite Star Trek:TNG episodes -- " Darmok ". He was the other starship commander who transported himself and Picard to the planet surface, to fight the 'creature at El Adril', in the hopes of starting a friendship/rapport with the Federation.
(It was the episode where Dathan spoke by way of metaphors.)

Anyone who is a fan of walker: Texas ranger will be saddened by this:
repost from https://www.einsiders.com:
Character actor Noble Willingham died of natural causes at age 72. Willingham was discovered by Peter Bogdanovich when he was casting "The Last Picture Show." Mr. Willingham has over 120 film and TV credits. He played bar owner C.D. Parker on the Chuck Norris TV series "Walker Texas Ranger." Among Mr. Willingham’s many notable film credits are Peter Bogdanovich’s "Paper Moon," Roman Polanski’s "Chinatown," Sidney Furie’s "The Boys in Company C," Martin Ritt’s "Norma Rae," Richard Lester’s "Butch and Sundance: The Early Days," Stuart Rosenberg’s "Brubaker" the Coen Brother’s "The Hudsucker Proxy," "Good Morning Vietnam," "City Slickers" and Joe Dante’s "The Howling." Mr. Willingham appeared in a number of great B-movies during the 1970s. Among those credits are "Aloha Bobby and Rose" with Paul LeMat and Dianne Hull, "Big Bad Mama" with Angie Dickinson, "Fighting Mad" with Peter Fonda, "Hit!" with Billy Dee Williams and "Greased Lightning" with Richard Pryor. Mr. Willingham was a teacher before his acting career. Mr. Willingham ran for local politcal office and Texas. He returned to acting having failed to get elected.

I guess he played many roles, but I remember him best as Captain Terrell in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and as Police Lieutenant Traxler in The Terminator.
Farewell.

Paul Winfield also appeared in the Babylon 5 episode 'GROPOS' as General Richard Franklin - Dr. Stephen Franklin's father. A good, solid performance.
He will be missed.

If you ever get a chance to read the novelization of In The Beginning, the character of General Franklin plays a part in the story although omitted from the movie. This was one movie that should have been a four hor mini because there was much more to tell.

Agreed. Thanks Kingfish for posting that, one of my friends was an extra on that show for a couple seasons I think. He pulled Norris out of a burning car once so chances are he met C.D. too.
I loved the house painter on Murphy too. Always thought Murphy should have ended up with him.

Kingfish, heard back from my friend. He said Willingham used to hang out with the extras on Walker and tell stories and jokes. He said he was the nicest man.
