Default The Robinsons: Lost In Space on YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...+Lost+in+Space

In part 2, the music at the start might be familiar if you've ever seen the opening of the other show that bears the name Battlestar Galactica.

The Time Tunnel pilot from 2002 is on there too: https://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...el+2002+Remake

Peter,

Thanks for posting this. I had always wondered about The Robinsons but could never find it on-line. I thought it was good. It certainly had potential. The pacing seemed a bit off here and there but I'm sure that would have been improved prior to final broadcast. My biggest complaint is that too much time was once again spent on family dysfunction before getting to the more exciting stuff. I also felt that the look was a little drab. More color and better lighting was needed to show off the sets.

The aliens were just 'OK' for being men in suits. They did remind me of the Sleestak from Land of the Lost in their lumbering awkwardness. Also, just like in the original LOTL, it appears that they only had enough money for three suits so you never saw more then three aliens on screen at a time.

I was surprised that I found the one scene towards the end so effective and moving. I also found the actress playing Maureen very attractive.

Overall, I would have watched on a weekly basis and hoped that the show improved once it found a balance between family drama and space opera.

Thanks.

Dave

I remember that show.
I loved watching it when I was a kid. I still do.
I can still hear the robot saying "Danger! Will Robinson" and Dr. Smith saying "The Pain..oh..the pain."

Default why didn't they ask for directions?

Forty years after first seeing Lost in Space, it finally occurred to me to wonder: Why didn't the Robinsons just ASK for directions?

They met so many people who had traveled all over the galaxy. Some of them knew where Earth was. Surely some of them knew where Alpha Centauri was!

Or was this a guy thing?! Too embarrassed to ask for directions?!

Hey, thanks Peter, I just got to seeing this. I was so curious, and now I know.
Underwhelmed, I think is the word.
I liked the actor that played John, the actresses that played Maureen & Judy, all else was pretty much a waste for me.
But I hadda see it.
