Factory X had been awarded the license by Universal to produce collectibles based on the original late 1970's sci-fi classic. Factory X president Tim Wenhold states that their license agreement "runs through February 2006 and is very comprehensive."
Just some of the detailed items planned include "Full-Size and Miniature Props and Weapons including Cylon Helmets (NOTE: Much like their upcoming Marvel Helmets. Image pictured is for reference only.) and a Colonial Blaster." A large replica of the Colonial Viper space craft is also in the works. The finished piece will measure 22 inches in length and will be limited in production. In addition, collectible statues, busts and water globes will be in the product line hitting shelves early 2004 (or earlier).
Universal's BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Based on the original late 1970's sci-fi classic. Keep an eye out in 2004 for full size props, statues and busts including a 22" Viper, Cylon Raider and Battlestar Cruiser, water globes, as well as lunch boxes.
