Fan film?
If anyone is interested. I am just finishing up with "Star Trek:The Romulan Wars" and been thinking about doing a Battlestar Galactica flic based on addtional episodes of the old series,,kinda like the season 2 vitual series on here. Would anyone be interested? Also,,here is the link to my website of Romulan Wars.I did most of the models and art there. There are a couple I used but credit is there and on the film itself. I will not be one of those who grab credit for something i didn't do. I do love setting up the models and making scenes. See if you like what you see and let me know.

There are a zillion ideas out there ! Its probably best to give us some insight into the duration of the productions you film, the cast you have available, etc.

As for the BS galactica movie,,I am not a writer but,,In the last episodes of the original. We found out about the Eastern Alliance and the Western Alliance. We know the Cylons are relentless and are out to destory all mankind. Well in an opening story to rekindle the old series, what if the Cylons finally caught up with these Terrans and wound up asking Galactica and crew for help. This in stopping Galactica from continueing there mission to find earth for a while and upgrading there technology abit. What would you guys think. Please let me know.
Thanks

As for the cast.
Theres always a new cast and we are always accepting cast, stories and ideas from people who want to help. We do alot of computer generated sfx and we build the sets and only use cgi for really complex sets like the engine room or landing bays.
Our web page for romulan wars is:

Just seen you've provided a link to your site. I've checked it out. Please can you give an outline of what type of productions you make - like the duration of the end episode, number of cast etc ?
Great to be speaking to you.....

Say Ernie? Anything new on your site now.
Just asking is all, kinda wondered when you'd add something new.

I love this idea as a spin-off. Not too sure on the idea of the Galactica getting involved, because they had moved on, encountered Cylons again, and got through new star systems, moved out of communications range - how/why would go back on the off chance for Terrans, when they couldn't for Starbuck ?
But the Pegasus might help. There has never been a Pegasus fanfilm, although I know a CGI short is planned by someone. If you do the Pegasus you don't have to CGI the fleet (not many models available) and if Cain is dead you can cast whoever you want as Pegasus crew !
I think you have a great start for a fanfilm series !
(what duration are your Romulan Wars epiodes, and how many have you made ?)

My site showcases fanfilms. There have been no new updates, because there have been no new osBSG fanfilms.
However, I have been working on some special features. They will come out soon (I hope!).

The first romulan war episode which will be the spin off will be in 2 segments both are about 38 mins in length through 5 downloads per segment. There are alot of different characters in this one that won't be in the series. The first Episode named into the breach will deal with several members seen in Enterprise being killed off. I wrote this one episode based on everything i could find on star trek of that time. The next episodes are strictly upto the fans. See how this one goes first. I got alot of flack about different ships from the wrong era and stuff but,,there is no "Bible" for these shows and i did my best.
As for Pegasus,,,hmmmm, Didn't they find what was left of the Pegasus on the planet where they found Count Ebbly(The man who voiced the Imperious leader?). I see you point about them having moved on and all so,,theres need to be a new sorry of sorts in there somewhere. This is my only set back on this but, this tiime i hope to get more people involved. This last time i got lucky and had some fans who were close who wanted to help and some friends and family,,lol. I hope to get a story from fans and just finish it up. Hopefully get some people who wouldn't mind donating or letting us borrow customs or find some people to help us make them. As for the sets,,I love making them but i've been told i put too much detail into it.

Scifiguy,
Would you be interested in doing the flick based on an "original" Battlestar Galactica story?
If so, check out this story

That was always speculated, but never firmly said. Richard"Apollo"Hatch's Continuation novels had the Pegasus in, as did creator Glen Larson's Continuation movie project(which we're still waiting for!). I don't think anyone would really write out the Pegasus as some scrap metal on a planet.
It's great you want to put this endevour together. I hope you see how much enthusiasm there is.
I can also offer your free lifelong hosting on my website, www.battlestarfanfilms.com for your finished osBSG fanfilm. I hope that will help the distribution of it....

I would love to, but my time right now often leaves me little enough time to do even the stories I am working on: Reciprocity, the sequel to Dark Exodus, and The Last Battlestar, which is my own retelling of the pilot story for Battlestar Galactica.
I am certainly glad you are enjoying Dark Exodus, though.
Thanks for asking.
Humbly,
Martok2112

That was great reading. I let several other read it and they were all impressed and said it would make a great episode. The worst thing though is always bring a story to the screen due to budget and time. If i can find a way to swing it or get some other fans to pitch in with props, customes or even a little mola,,I'd really like to try to make this a fan film. Spread the word all and lets see what "WE" can pull together.

I'm all for it....even if you have to cut a few corners. Fans have expressed interest in seeing Dark Exodus make it to film or publication somehow....and as with anything that makes the transition from the written word, I know sometimes corners have to be cut......let's see what others think.
I am glad beyond words that you enjoyed Dark Exodus that much to think of it so highly. Maybe we should join forces on promoting it.
Most humbly and appreciatively,
Steve (Martok2112)

This was my original (pipedreamed) movie promotional poster for Dark Exodus.
Just to let you know....I was really wanting to take this story further, considering how well received it was by TOS and even TNS fans.
Respectfully,
