Words and People to never forget- 2004
Now the year has past. And we have stepped forward. Though not everyone has made it to the new year. We have lost many people who have left a mark in our culture.
This thread will be a small tribute to them. And while we probably could say more. Sometimes just a sentence or so is enough.
So say a pharse from someone you remember who has passed away in 2004. If you can't think of anyone who hasn't been quoted, feel free to pick another quote from someone already quoted. Or if you can't think of a quote, pick an event, a movie, or something else that there were remembered by.

Although this thread is for all the folks who have passed away, this year, I offer another quote from RR that has been especially meaningful to me, these many years:

I was offered a trip to LA this past summer, to help out a friend. I jumped at the chance, never expecting to get to see LA or even California.
I happened to be out in LA on the weekend Reagan was buried. I drove up there the Monday after his funeral.
I wish now, that I had taken more time to take the place in. It was amazing to me to see the outpouring of love for this man by everyone.
In the recent past, the divison between parties has gotten to the point that one side can't recognize even the good in the other. Not so with Reagan.
With Reagan, even those who disagreed with him politically, mourn his passing as the loss of a great man.
Christopher Reeve was a shock to me.
Ray Charles, and so many more.
