Now it's OCT 21st.

diehardsteeler posted this on the bsg revival yahoo group tonight:

New DVD Box Set Pricing and Supplement List

From TVShowsOnDVD.com: Universal has just given us the preliminary list of
supplements for Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Epic Series. This list of
extras, and the names they will go by, is not yet finalized and could be
subject to change. As it stands right now, they look like this:

- Insight into the "Making of" Battlestar Galactica
- Creation of Battlestar Galactica: an Interview with creator Glen A. Larson
- Deleted Scenes
- Commentary for selected episodes by Cast/Crew
- Visual Effects with John Dykstra
- Sci-Fi Special: Making of the Show
- Composing the Music: Stu Phillips and Glen A. Larson
- Production Notes
- Sneak preview into the new Sci-Fi Channel Battlestar Galactica mini-series
- Interactive Game Trailer

Re-iterating the specs: This will be shown in the originally broadcast 4x3
aspect ratio, with both 2.0 stereo soundtrack and 5.1 Dolby soundtrack.
French and Spanish subtitles are on board, along with Closed Captioning for
the hearing impaired.

As we said earlier today, the release date has been pushed back exactly one
week, to October 21st. The S.R.P. will be $119.98 for this 6-Disc set with
almost 20 hours of show... EVERY episode of the one and only season of the
original Battlestar Galactica!

For those of you interested in owning the alternate, theatrical cut of the
pilot episode, "Saga of a Star World" (with a shorter running time, and
alternate scenes including a different fate for one major character), you'll
be pleased to know that Universal is going to re-promote that old DVD on the
same date (10/21), at a new lower SRP of $19.98.

It sounds great except for the Sci Fi channel getting their crap on it. The great thing about DVD though is the fact that all we have to do is not click on that extra and we don't see it.

Boy the sci fi channel is really trying to stuff this crap down our throats. lol

ABOUT BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE COMPLETE EPIC SERIES

Battlestar Galactica, the definitive battle between the last surviving human colony and an evil robotic race, premiered on ABC in 1978 to an audience of 65 million viewers. The show remained a top-15 series throughout its brief run, and was eventually cancelled due to the prohibitively expensive special effects. From legendary television series creator Glen A. Larson (Magnum P.I., The Six Million Dollar Man), this science fiction adventure starring Lorne Green, Richard Hatch and Dirk Benedict quickly established itself as an epic and powerful television saga.

Considered cutting-edge for its time, Battlestar Galactica took home Emmy
Awards for Outstanding Costume Design for a Series and Outstanding
Individual Achievement - Creative Technical Crafts.

ABOUT BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, THE SCI FI CHANNEL
MINISERIES
SCI FI Channel (www.scifi.com) transmits fantastic images to 80 million homes. SCI FI Channel is a program service of Universal Television Networks, part of Universal Television Group, a division of Vivendi UNIVERSAL Entertainment (VUE). In December 2003, SCI FI Channel will premiere a 4-hour miniseries, Battlestar Galactica, starring Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell.

Battlestar Galactica, SCI FI Channel Miniseries
Synopsis
It is a time of peace. Earth is a myth. Technology, a fearsome menace. More than 40 years after the armistice that ended the Cylon War, the human race suffers a sneak attack by a new breed of robots, indistinguishable from humans and more deadly than ever. As billions die on the 12 Colonies of Kobol, the last hope of humanity lies with the Battlestar Galactica, a recently decommissioned warship that has been turned into a flying museum, and with the courage and wisdom of Commander Adama (Edward James Olmos) and President Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell). Without a home, without hope and facing extinction, these last remnants of humanity must rely on each other for survival as they evade their robotic pursuers.

I have always said that the complete Galactica on DVD would be the thing that forces me to buy a DVD player and I guess I was right.
