Science Fiction Becomes A Reality
I was listening to the news the othernight. The topic was alternative forms of energy besides oil. They talked about nuclear power and the waste that results. What to do with it. One theory was to simply shoot it into outer space. The other theory was to bury it on the moon. Then it dawned on me. That was the pilot of Space 1999. Man needed to get rid of nuclear waste so the Moon was chosen but with dire consequences. Another thought that crossed my mind was clean nuclear energy. Remember Dillon and Troy giving the formula to Dr Mortonson. Galactica and 1999 aren't forgotten, but just waiting to come back in all of their glory.

Steve,
I just finished reading the article...it's astounding. That process would truly solve a lot of problems not the least of which is landfills. Just truck the garbage, etc to one of the TDP plants and *poof* it's gone!
Thanks for the find!

They started up a pilot plant a couple weeks ago, 15$ a barrell, if they can get this in full comercial production..... I am sure they could find many other uses as well but the US may smell like KFC
