Military and civilian scientists time travelling to prevent a terrorist plot. Sounds 'sexy' enough for the pilot but then what? many of these shows have little substance to build a season on.
How soon will they have to resort to:
a. conflicting military vs civilians interests.
b. the geeky sexy lady scientist who wins the heart and the grudging respect of the cynical battle hardened warrior hero with a deep wound in his personal life
c. comment on US foreign policy
d. chucking science out to be able to solve it at the 23rd minute mark
e. every character being a flawed gungho frootloop or a brooding sook
a b and c could be very good if done very well... alas track records say 'unlikely' it will be done well..
