Cylon Raider from Warrior updated
Hi!
I was playing around with the Warrior's cylon Raider model and I made a few changes, basically I was adding plates to the main hull and still needs to have in the wings, I stretched a little the X axis of that main hull to make look a little like in the new series episode. I have in mind fulfill the object with some nurnies in the edge walls between the main hull and the wings. Re textured a Little and set up a space scene ( without stars)
If Warrior agrees, I'd like to share this model to the community. please tell me if you like it this way
Thank you Warrior for your model, is one of my favorite ships since I was a kid.

She looks mean, wouldn't wanna run into an alley and find one of these hovering there. I have a question, are your new panels modeled in or is it a bump map, I'm still getting used to the virtues of both ways, and like to ask how others do it

Re: Cylon Raider from Warrior updated
Hi!
answering your question, the panels are modeled.
The original mesh was very nice ( for being a low poly) I thought that adding those plates would increase the effect of a much more detailed ship.
if you do plan to give a try modeling plates, I recomend you using booleans over the surface that you are planing to put those panels
hope that helps!

Re: Cylon Raider from Warrior updated
Nice work ..... but I feel that the additional design feature is very blocky compared to the over all design. If I was doing it I would have given it more of a curve at the rear of your new weapon feature .....
imo
nice to see some new ideas for the classic Raider

I also have this Model. The one I have has three Cyclons in the crew cockpit. I have the model in Lightwave. I like the glow effect you have. Would like to see an animation too.
