unlikely galactica mention
There is a magazine currently on the newsstands for the summer called "Hot New Stars," a sister magazine published by "TV Guide." It's mostly teen idol stuff (frankly, I can't stand "The O.C."), but there was one unlikely mention by Mike Erwin concerning "Galactica."
Mike played Colin Hart, the boy recovering from the coma, in the series "Everwood." From the time he woke up, he sometimes reminded me of Richard, not as Apollo, but as Jan Berry. Mike had the same very deep brown, almost black, shaggy hair, and of course his character limped and kept losing his temper, just like Jan did in the movie "Deadman's Curve."
In this new magazine, a number of the featured actors were asked what DVD sets they would like to buy. Mike's response was of "The Hulk" series (Mike had a bit part in last year's movie) and the original Galactica DVD set.
If Mike had played Apollo in the remake miniseries, I would have taken the miniseries a lot more seriously.

Mary I like the fact that he wants to buy the original bsg dvd's .........but
even if he had played Apollo in the 'remake miniseries' ...........with the
way the mini was written I still wouldn't have watched it. It wasn't the
acting that I was against ...........it was the SCRIPT itself.
