The Scapers DO know Skiffy
I've been catching up on what they've been doing after the cancellation of Farscape and it's been quite interesting. Two things, out of the many, stood out in my (poor excuse) for a mind:
1) Sending 12 pints of home made ice cream to each of the following: UPN, a station they've been courting to pick up Farscape; to Matt Roush, a TV Guide reviewer who is also a Farscape fan and has done several articles that are, to say the least, uncomplementary to the intelligence of Skiffy; and to Viacom's U.S. office, which we know is one of the major groups who are interested in buying Vivendi Universal's U.S. assets.
2) After Bonnie Hammer's comments about Skiffy wanting to attract more women viewers, over 250 female Farscape fans sent their bras to Ms. Hammer, many using Breast Cancer stamps to also help in that associated research.
I'd say the Scapers are well organised and the above are just a couple of the efforts they've been putting forth. Whether they're successful or not, they've organised themselves and are really putting forth physical efforts. It's something that we can use as an example to get everyone motivated in our efforts.
