One bite at a time.
Our elephant once successfully consumed would result in a continuation of BSG, faithful to the original premise, preferably with some original cast, but faithful to the premise & themes established by the original.
Our Farscape friends are doing an excellent coordinated job at attacking their elephant. They are tireless, but their fight is newer than ours. And they have not had quite the rights mess or different production camps to deal with that we have had. In many senses they have an easier fight: Henson owns their show and will not violate their universe just to get Farscape on the air. And they are fresh for the battle and can fight positively without a Hammer produciton in their way.
BSG is much murkier. There is a remake in production to kill or neuter. Universal is up for sale. Sonny Bono law & rights are muddles. And 3 production teams have had assorted fan support in the last 5 years.
So the elephant we have to eat is enormous. It will take all of us together. Most of you have fought much longer, but we add a member or two every day on this board, ones are added on the other BSG bbs too, our numbers are growing as the word spreads.
Some of the bites to take from our elephant NOW:
-the X2 ticketathon effort (LSF started this)
Go to X2 send your ticket stubs with a note about your support for a BSG continuation production like DeSantoto would have done (tickets are proof you put your money where your mouth is):

Maybe a copy of the Ron Moore popcorn letter could be added to the empty bag of popcorn as well. It's at https://www.scifi.com/battlestar/letter/index.html
And maybe just highlight the

-writing to advertisers FRIENDLY letters concerned that they could get rooked into advertising on a show which will not be watched due to its bait and switch promotion and not-family-friendly or even not-teenager-friendly nature, getting them to pull away from the show before it airs. (if Uni wants those rights that bad, let them foot the ENTIRE bill and air it with no ad revenue, that should move it out of primetime at least)
- I think the giftbasket idea the scapers used would be cool for the new owner of Scifi, as soon as we know who they are. (when the Henson family bought back their production company, all three Henson offices got baskets with chocolates, champagne and "Critchon & Aeryn" bath salts from the Frell Me Dead board at watchfarscape.com)
Positive wins more friends than negative, unfortunately most of our group effort will be on defense tactics at the present, and a lot of it is just telling folks we know about the mini so they don't watch.
This elephant can be eaten. And we can get OUR show back the way we want it to be.
Spread the Word. Keep the Faith. Never Surrender, Never Give Up.
