Does anyone recall the previous ones? Apollo 10 was Charlie Brown/Snoopy . Does anyone know what the Apollo One names were? That was the ship that burned on the launch pad, and killed Grissom, White, and Chaffee.

btw- you can use the code feature fr making tables. All letters are evenly spaced and multiple spaces don't evaporate!

Personally I liked Gumdrop and Spider for my I believe Apollo 8?

yeah I´v seen it, 2003. even before my time here
I would think that if you have not received an answer in 9 years, no one knows or cares.

all I could find myself is the crew Grissom, White, and Chaffee called their module Apollo 1 and that was it.

Tom answered the question on July 9, 2003 but, he was off by 1 mission. The Command and Lunar Module names for Apollo 9 were Gumdrop and Spider, respectively.

There were no other "names" given to the prior missions other than "generic" ones:

Quote:
Mission name ----- Apollo 1
Command Module---CM-012
Service Module---SM-012

Due to the tragic accident which killed Virgil "Gus" Grissom, Edward H. White and Roger B. Chaffee, the mission name of Apollo 1 was officially retired.

However, prior to Apollo 1, there were 3 test flights of the Saturn 1-B rocket, known as AS-201, 202, 203 that were done as part of the Apollo program. (Apollo 1 was also known as AS-204.)

There were no flights designated as Apollo 2 or Apollo 3 and the "official" designation of numbers following Apollo, began with Apollo 4.

Mission name------Apollo 4
Command Module---CM-017
Service Module---SM-017
Lunar Module---LTA-10R (dummy)

Mission name------Apollo 5
Lunar Module---LM-1

Mission name-----Apollo 6
Command Module---CM-020
Service Module---SM-014
Lunar Module---LTA-2R (dummy)

Mission name-----Apollo 7
Command Module---CM-101
Service Module---SM-101

Mission name-----Apollo 8
Command Module---CM-103
Service Module---SM-103
Lunar Module---
