I saw this a while ago but it was 'out of stock' so I guess this is a re-pressing by popular demand !
Beware though, us Europeans got less content, notably no commentary and much fewer deleted scenes. It would appear this Australian edition is a reissue of the European edition.
Although the tin is very nice....

The metal tins are ezydvd's latest thing, they just slip a regular release into them and feature them in their catalgues.
The price is good, but it is the dec05 /7 disc release in PAL R4 with the cut down extras.
Nice for the completionists..and easier to shelve than the cylon head, but not as convenient as the blue slipcase.
Cheers,
Lara

If anything aren't the people in North America the lucky bastards! Its regions 2 and 4 that are 'slashed' here.
Or do you mean the region 4 tin Cylon casing is better?
To each his own i guess

I wanted to buy the Cylon tin but i am happy with what i got..........i wish they put the deleted scenes disc in a proper cover instead of a CD sleeve
Nice to see a large number of Australian's around, I'm a Victorian born Queensland resident but i'm still Victorian to the core (eg prefer AFL Football to Rugby League)

In BSG spirit, Adelaide taking the flag would be like like Baltar carrying out a successful mission under his command

Unlike Baltar, we've been successful a couple of times!!
Now a AFL final Grandfinal played in any state other than Victoria would truly be the end of the world as footy knows it, and akin to Iblis winning!!
Cheers,
Lara

They are very generous with free stuff with purchase like when you brought the first season of the current BSG series you got a T-Shirt, strangely it wasn't of the Galactica but of Cylons
Yep the day the Grand Final is played outside Victoria is the day it dies in some Victorian hearts while the AFL will celebrate it being national...........Victoria for 2007 glory, stop it from being four non Vic GF's in a row

I love not having half a day between the two halves of a conversation!!
Now, where has GDafi got to..he's letting the side down
re EzyDVD, I never got the shirt which was a shame but my pre order was too far down the list. Worst bit was they stuffed the delivery up (well the courier did)
Leaving $400 worth of DVDs in a bag in the full sun by my side entrance (where it could be seen from the street) without so much as a note in the letterbox was not my idea of responsible delivery. We didn't realise the package was there until two weeks later when I went down the side alley to get the garden bin!
On the plus side they did replace the order, after I pointed out the parcel had been fried AND rained on!!
Cheers,
Lara

Hellooo fellow Australian Warriors,
How nice to see many of us on the forums here, as I am also on the same continent.
I'm not sure what the real discussion here is, but if it's about purchases of TOS BSG, then about three weeks ago, I, by pure fluke, discovered my serendipity of the year, when I ventured into my local BIG W department store, and found the complete series of TOS BSG, for only $39.85, with bonus dvd ( though only in a dvd paper sleeve tucked into the third dvd case holding the two last dvd's of the series's episodes. The whole set was packeged in just a cardboard case with the matching print /design that was on the three dvd cases inside(7 discs altogether).
But if one is not too particular, and is just so darn derliously happy to have found the original series of one's all time favourite show at all, then this was a bargain, and I'm still amazed to have discovered it!
Kind regards to all! Hope to be aquainted with some of you, online, in the same time zone of our area of the 13th colony!

Congrats to all those ( no matter where you hail from ) that have managed to snag a DVD set
I love mine.
One of the nice things about Canadian Space TV is that they air TOS at 3pm during the week. The unedited episodes. Once they are done their run through, they go to G80. Although I'm not a big fan of G80 we get to see "Return of Starbuck" at the end.

Hi Tracy,
Was it in the 1980 BSG, when Starbuck was marooned on a deserted planet with a lone cylon? Obviously it would have, to have been the 1980 series, but how far into those series did that plot evolve?
I don't remember those series very well, as I'm not sure how many of them I actually saw. T'was many a yahren ago. Also, how did the story line write the characters of Apollo, Athena and possibly others(like I said I can't remember) out of the show?
Hope to hear any answer
