OK, the film is uploaded and ready for download! In order to make it more palatable for download, I divided it up into three parts in order to get each part less than 10 MB.
I will be linking to each part here in this thread:
Here is Battlestar Callisto: Ensign Annie Part I:

Charybdis,
Its great that you've made another episode, thanks for posting the links.
I like that you've got a viper helmet now ! It makes a lot of difference !
I'd have prefered the whole episode as 1 file, I think with many people having broadband and/or download accelerators, a 27MB file wouldn't be too big....
I hope you'll keep producing these, do keep us updated on your efforts...

Daniel, the initial file was nearly 135 meg in size. That's why i requested the reduction. Some unfortunately do not have hi speed and i was trying to make it acceptable to all.
Thanks Al!

I remember it being mentioned on another thread that it was that large. As a former dial-up user I don't think that 27MB that the above three files would be joined, would be too large... but its great to see in in any form...I'd download if it was in 10sec chunks !

Hi All,
I've not been around for years and when I got the Email from Charybdis I thought I shoud stop in.
The Mini is very good so far, any chance of downloading it as 1 file for those of us with broadband?
Thanks,
Lt. Merak

Good job, Charybdis. The cockpit and helmet definitely adds to the effect. Good editing between your live footage, and the stock footage from the show. Very cohesive.
Something I might recommend as a future purchase are some DJ lights that you can mount above and to either side of the cockpit, to create an effect of you blasting down the launch tubes. There are some that should not be too expensive.
Again, Good Job!
Respectfully,
Martok2112

Another great effort! I had few WOW moments with the great editing and movement work with the cockpit. I totally bought the characters in the launch sequence. This is good stuff, entertaining and we have characters we can talk about. Sooooo with that…
What in Hades was Charybdis thinking taking what seemed like some shuttle pilot in to combat?
What about Charybdis’ drinking problem, all this guy wants to do is get back to the club and throw back drinks?
Keep it up I look forward to more.

I like it!
Some excellent reworking of the title footage with new credits and a great job of intercutting new cockpit shots with existing shots from the series!
You might want to play around with the the lighting levels outside the cockpit and see if you can get a more realistic looking feel to it. The shots seem to be too uniformly and brightly lit from all sides. Kind of pulls you out of the scene...but that's just me.
At least someone's made a start....It's a great start though!
Keep up the good work!
Best,
Bryan

Don, when ya have super sized files like that, use RAR. It'll split the main file up into smaller files for dial-up downloaders ease of use, but when un-rar'd, it'd return to its full single file format.

Groovy. Did that. Watched it. It was cute! Once again, Charybdis, you show a talent for creative editing!
Its also nice to see the helmet and cockpit added to the mix. Gotta be careful about that "wobble" in the conopy though. Better have the flight crews check that out!

Hey everyone! Thanks for looking at the mini ep. Don has the full size MPEG file, for you broadband users, if you put enough pressure on him he might make that version available.
Believe it or not, the lighting is probably the hardest part of doing these things! I goofed again. I had wanted to change my lighting from inside the ship to outside in space but it just didn't get done. That's why I also have a blooper reel that I sent to Don as well!!!
As for hoisting one in the officer's club, it's my little George Lucas moment! I have a couple of lines which I try to slip in there as much as possible, but that line will not be in there for my next mini ep! Can anyone guess what the other line is?

Very very cool!
I've got nothing but respect for you and the way you've actually gone out and done what so many of us dream about doing. I applaud the effort and the results. You've done a really good job of making a coherent story out of essentially puzzle pieces.
Keep up the good work. You're kicking butt on this.

Not bad, not bad at all. Great editing work, good acting, the writing was right in line with the stock footage. Maybe tweak the lighting a tad...but overall, I liked what you did.
Tabbi, I got a client returning on lease about 11 two year old laptops with some decent speakers in March. It's a sunk cost for me so I give half away to students and give the other half to not for profits. Usually the students are mine or my buddy's students...but since your on the fleets, I'll send one out if you need one. Lemme know.

I would like to add to the chorus of complements and say that you are doing some very good stuff, Charybdis!
I think it is also giving a few of us the inspiration to get off our butts and put our talents where our dreams are... including myself!
So thanks and keep up the great work!!!

Mal,
I will live vicariously through the efforts of the rest of you. Last season I performed in 2 plays, directed another, produced another, and stage managed yet another. This season I am acting in one that is on its closing weekend, running tech for another, assistant directing two (we have two rookie directors this season that need some hand holding) and producing one. LAST thing I wanna do is a fan film right now. You guys keep making them and I will applaud them.

I think the other line is "Take that you creep." Charybdis says is before shooting at Cylons...
First of all I really like the costumes of the two episodes I have seen so far and the props, e.g. the blaster look very well done as well as the helmet.
As to constructive critics ( yeah, sure as if there is something like that ):
The lightning at the cockpit shots is too bright and does not match the shots which are more far away. You may want to try dimming it and adding lights in the cockpit. The current brightness also blanks out the helmet and stresses the actually nonexistent back of the Viper.
And I think the cockpit is too small, it looks too miniature and at some points you even hit the frame with the helmet, which takes it away. In fact I like the former version better without the cockpit...
But addding eveything its a very good start and good idea. I am looking forward to see more of it...
