Foundation Galactica Demo online........
.....ready for download! Colonial Fleets together with Cylon.org released the Foundation Galactica demo to the public. Were sorry for the delay but we know you will enjoy it and hope the wait was well worth it. The file size is roughly a 10 meg zip file. It's encoded in divx at 320x240. A larger file size maybe available at a later date but we thought it best to keep it at a minimum for those still on modem connections. I dare not go any smaller than 10 megs folks or quality would have been lost.
We hope you enjoy it and it truely represents what could have been.
So without further adoooooo, here ya go. Enjoy. Thanks to Tom for hosting it.
Foundation Imaging Demo 10MB

Thanks to Mark Dickson, Lee Stringer and all those involved from the Foundation team.

Hmm, on my computer it seems to just stop after the second cylon raider flys by. Sound continues, no further video though...
Update: Nevermind, it's ok now! I need to pay more attention to what I read - Windows Media Player had problems with it but my DIVX player handles it just fine

Don -
That was a nice little "gift" for those of us that missed it at the con. I was very pleased to see it at last. Many thanks for the show - it made my evening!
Best regards,
Bryan

Hi,
Is it possible to provide it in a non-divx avi format? My WMP doesn't have the codec and I am reluctant to download stuff like that cuz invariably something goes wrong with my system (like RealPlayer and QuickTime both really botched my system).
Thanks,

emotional reactions
Is it just me ... or were others both ecstatic and enraged at the same time? It was soooo good and I thoroughly loved it ... but then I realized THIS IS WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN! WHY!!!!????

They looked and moved much better than the two crappy scenes of the mini-series cylons.

Man, that is SWEET....
P.S. I just noticed on the Galactica's landing bay hull... The rectangle piece between the pylons is off the top of a Colonial blaster! (do I get a cookie for finding it? )

Funny thing is about this quote is this demo came before T3 was even thought about.

So thats where the picture came from. Many thanks for the winzip file Titon.
Off topic, how is that "Battlestar Millienia" movie coming along you haven't abandon it all together have you? i found that to be an incredible piece of work a year or more back on BGfanclub.com a while ago.
Is that movie going to be finished anytime soon! I'm sure fans would like to see your finished work in the future.
later man.

Wow, someone actually remembers that? Yeesh. Thanks man, i appreciate the kudos. Although it is very bad considering what i can do today versus then. I guess i haven't put much thought into it. When i made Millenia i was just starting out. The only reason yours truely got into cgi was Galactica. Pretty lame huh! But realistically the key to making a good cgi movie is being a complete artist and as of yet i haven't fully reached that point.
One of the things that has held me back over the years is having top notch cgi models to work with. My goal in making a 3rd installment to the Millenia deal was to first create top notch models to use in it. At the time i had to resort to using other's work to do that and it's not something i wanted to do.
Ya never know KJ, but at the moment there's no significant movement in the Millenia project. Thanks for asking though!

Sorry, not at this moment. First of all Eden FX would have to allow that to go up and at this moment that's not going to happen.

Guys, it looks great!
There are a few shots from "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" in it, notably the shot with the machine that's stripping resources from the planet, and the shot of the three raiders doing a roll in close-up. Some of the other shots I remember from pre-final versions of the trailer. The cylon design is very cool, but in my opinion, the motion capture is not in character. Still very neat.
I have seen this trailer before on video, and it looks even better. Maybe I can talk Mike into letting us post the one we did for Tom DeSanto....
