Donny And Marie Galactica Spoof
For those who want to see a curio related to Galactica at the height of it's popularity, someone on You Tube has uploaded the entire "Donny And Marie" show from December 8, 1978 which featured the sketch "Cattlestar". The sketch is very lame and unfunny (as is true of generally most sketches from the variety shows of this era) but it is fascinating to see as a reminder of how Galactica was a big phenom at the time to merit this (plus, it has the dividend of Raquel Welch appearing!)
The real treat though is at the end of the episode as they mark Donny's 21st birthday, there are brief vignettes from all the current ABC shows wishing him a happy birthday so that means we get to see (in costume and on the Galactica set) Richard, Dirk and Larurette and then Lorne saying Happy Birthday.
