Gave me chills!
I'm sure I saw the promo when the show premiered, but I don't remember it.
Two things I noticed--that is the first time I've heard the title of the episode outside of here, "Saga of a Star World."
Did you notice how many scenes were with Rigel?!

Mary -

I had the same feeling... I remember the feeling of anticipation of that particular Sunday night. You felt like you were about to see something the likes of which you had never seen on television before. Our whole family watched that 3 hour broadcast and it did not dissapoint. Even though I have seen "Saga" more times than I can count, that first time was something I'll never forget.

Me, too.

The show premiered during my first semester at WVU and, in our dorm, the TV room was filled with a bunch of guys sitting on couches, chairs, and the floor, with eyes glued to, probably, a 25" or 27" TV. No one dared even to think about changing the channel.

That 'first time' was also very special!!

This was the first season of Soap and the ABC affiliate was nervous about airing it during prime time so it ran at 11:30 pm or so which allowed for longish promos during commercial breaks. I saw this Battlestar promo a lot. It still makes me want to see the show now.
