Of course I voted for Terry Carter. He IS Tigh. But, if he turned it down (god forbid), then I also voted for my second choice, which is Lawrence Fishburne.

I mentioned this over at ToK as well...
While Terry Carter IS Tigh in all of are eyes, he is 80 years old now. The likelihood of him being picked for the role of Tigh, should BSG be remade is I think remote.
However, I can see him maybe doing a Quorum of Twelve or even Pres. Adar role!

OMG! Just looked up Dennis Haysberts' bio on IMDb. It states he portrayed the Imperious Leader on 1 episode of Galactica 1980! (most likely inside the costume and not the voice, obviously) So he does have a tie-in to the Galactica universe.
He is my second choice for a recast of Col. Tigh. Terry Carter is first and IS Tigh.

If Terry said no, I'd go with Ron Glass. Capable of light moments and heavy ones. He was great as Shepherd Book, providing some humor and some gravitas as required.
And a bit of age would not be a bad thing for Tigh. He's a veteran who moved up the ranks, remember.
