Quote for the Day
This is nothing new. We've all seen these in the newspapers. I thought it might be a nice idea to start up a "column" of our own. The quote doesn't have to be 'sci-fi' related, it can be about anything.
What do you think? If you like the idea, great. If not, that's ok, too.
I'll kick it off, with this one:
Quote:
The pessimist complains about the wind.
The optomist expects it to change.
The leader adjusts the sails.

"If your goal is to fail, then by doing so you yet manage to succede. Go figure."

Here is another of mine, related to the previous one.

Here is one I only recently heard, though it is obviously quite old:
Always remember others may hate you, but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them.
And then you destroy yourself. -Richard M. Nixon
And BTW:
Hate leads to suffering. -Yoda

"If you love something set it free, if it doesn't come back to you, hunt it down and kill it!"

shiningstar, your quote isn't from Mao, it's from Confucius. The actual quote is: "It is better to light one candle than curse the darkness."
And since we're on the subject of candles, light and darkness, how about a quot that can apply to my favorite Galactica episode?
'And I said to the one who stood at the gate of the year, "Give me a light that I may tread safely into the Unknown." And he replied, "Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way."'--Minnie Haskins

G A
