Best line of the series
Just thought this might be some fun for fans of TOS. What would you say is the very best line of the series? No criteria here, funny, sad, happy, dramatic, it's all good. I just wanna know what single line in the series is the one you love the best. To get the ball rolling, here's mine:
"When Commander Adama sees these, he's going to go CRAZY!"
- Col. Tigh "Saga of a Star World"
This line just kills me every time, the way he delivers it is just classic. Not to mention the thought of Lorne Greene going "crazy" over dirty uniforms is too amusing for words in my estimation
I'm also fond of Commander Caine's favourite cylon description, Starts with a G I'm sure, but I can't recal the term. In any case, he says it about 15 billion times. In fact, I don't think he can refer to the cylons without calling them "those G--------ing cylons"

Welcome to Colonial Fleets, Pagz!
Favorite line? Ooh, that's a toughie. I've got about a gazillion favorite lines from my beloved BSG. Hmm.. well, this one is one of the tops, to be sure...
* Baltar is personally leading an attack force on the big G in The Living Legend and leers with anticipated victory when his copilot Cylon bursts his bubble *
Baltar: "Another battlestar? It's impossible!"
Cylon: "No, it's a battlestar"
I crack up every time I hear it - Cylons cracking jokes - ya gotta love it!!!

Pagz, it's "Gall-monging Cylons".
One of my favorite lines - from Saga, after the escape from Carillon, the centurion is speaking to the Imperious Leader:
IL: But we took them by surprise.
Centurion: It was apparently not as big a surprise as we had hoped for.
Loved that...

From the Living Legend:
Starbuck: "With support troops like these, who needs Cylons!"

I agree with Muffit. But I like the line before that.
Cylon: "You really ought to look at the OTHER Battlestar."

Line
What can I say? Just look at my signature!
When Apollo is confused about what is going on in that planet. I forget which episode but it's the one with Knight Rider's Devin Miles (you know, the old guy from the Foundation) and the lady says to Apollo that he must have amnesia. And Apollo, distracted, says:
"Amnesia. What a beautiful name."

I like that line too Thomas! I was having a hard time picking between the two. BSG had few laughs, like TNG, so when they happened they were all the more funny!
Stray Viper, that was Experiment in Terra I believe. Brenda was the girl's real name - and you're right, that line was great!!!

I love the one where Boomer is worried about Starbuck getting them in trouble with Apollo (during the survey of the fleet ships in Saga) and Starbuck's response is basically ennumerrates something about our planets are shot up, something else on the direness of their situation and he closes with "...and I'm going to get us in trouble?"
Some of the Boomer/Starbuck exchanges are my favorites!
My favorite Starbuck/Apollo incident is Starbuck introducing himself & Apollo to Chameleon, "I'm Starbuck and this is my conscience, Apollo."
Favorite Baltar/Lucifer "Don't fence with me Lucifer." --Baltar

"Lucifer, I'll tear you apart, limb from limb, circuit from circuit. You haven't heard the last of Baltar...."
Baltar was framed! He was the TRUE star of Battlestar Galactica.
"Burn Galactica! You're finished Adama."

One of my favorites came from Lost Planet of the Gods
Apollo: "Serina, get your tail back on board the Galactica."
Serina: "Is that any way to talk to a junior officer. I'll have you brought up on charges or at least locked out of my chambers."
Another one I liked i use for one of my signatures!

"Launch when ready!" and "By /your/ command," to Baltar with Lucifer's sarcastic emphasis.
And my mother's favorite back in the day from IL series Spector, "Half the garrison's down with rust."

"They hate us with every fiber of their existence. We love freedom. We love independance, to feel, to question, to resist oppression. To them it's an alien way of existing. They will never accept. - Adama on the Cylons
"Apparently it was not as big a surprise as we had hoped for" - Centurion to Imperious Leader
"Eat all your primaries...and stop chasing girls" - Apollo
"Well...surely you don't mean....*me*?" - Baltar
My all time favorite scene though is when Starbuck is brought before Baltar on the Basestar when he turns around and lights a match off of a Centurion. It pretty much tells me all I need to know about Starbuck.
"Thanks!" - Starbuck

Best Lines
This show had so many great lines, both serious and humorous. My favorite humorous line has to the one already mentioned where Baltar mentions "the last battlestar's destruction", only to find the Pegasus coming up fast on his flank. It was hysterical to watch that smug look of his vanish so quickly.
Throughout the show, the exchanges between Baltar and Lucifer were usually quite good. I especially enjoyed them in The Living Legend.
B- "We have them where we want them, now launch!"
L- "But they're not where we want them."
B- "What do you mean, 'they're not where we want them'?"
L- "May I suggest the legendary Commander Cain."
B- "Cain! What does he care about the Galactica or the fleet, he wants...ohhhh...he wants...he wants me!"
B- "How long until our ships can return to defend us?"
L- "I'm afraid the Pegasus will reach us first."
B- "Then fall back; let the other two base commanders intercept the Pegasus."
L- "I'm not sure the other base commanders will appreciate that."
Here's a few others that also came to mind from War of the Gods:
Boomer - "So much for my moment of glory."
Count Iblis - (on Apollo and Sheba) "Why should she be limited to one man, or you and I to one woman?"
Starbuck - "Hmmm...I think I may like this place you come from."

Easy one...
Hands down, my favorite line was from Boomer in Lost Planet of the Gods...
Tigh: Sir, you obviously cannot even stand!
Boomer: I believe the viper is flown from the seated position.
Now, if that doesn't capture the entire atmosphere of the series, I don't know what does.

My brother's favorite line, because (in part) he is certain he will not have to tell you where it is from or what the context is.
I offer you only one clue: it is said by a Cylon Warrior.
"Ut-oh."

I seem to remember him saying that a lot. I wonder why they never put a leash on that thing - it got them into more trouble (and yeah, I know it saved the day in Fire in Space, but mostly it just ran off and got Boxey into dangerous situations). Just a thought.

I think that because it was a machine with limited
intelligence as compared to let's say a young boy or a
cylon they just didn't bother.
