The Sciography BG Story
It aired twice and disappeared quickly. The music was horrible and it could have used another full hour to cover BG. Glen Larson was at the fore front talking about what was wrong/went wrong with BG. He discussed Galactica 1980 and asked about if he had to do Galactica 1980 again what would be changed. His answer was he would have insisted on a later timeslot. IMHO a latter timeslot wouldn't have helped this wretched creation. He also talked about bringing BG back the proper way and that he instead of Hatch should do it. Well I have a feeling he is doing it. BG 2003 is his comeback. Glen wasn't too happy with his original creation in the first place. Glen may figure that this time he has a clean slate to start over with. A different audience who knows nothing about classic BG to tell the difference. He knows we will not watch and probably doesn't care.

Could be, Kingfish, but if so, why haven't we heard he's involved?
The only names we've heard directly connected to the production are Hammer, Moore, and Eick. Sci-Fi would hardly keep the creator's role in the production a secret; in fact, I think they'd be shouting it from the rooftops in an effort to keep us quiet.
Still, stranger things have happened in Hollywood.....

Larson has for years struck me a self-publicist. If he is involved with the Moore production on the sly, as it were, I must admit that I would be astonished.
Still, kingfish has a good point about Larson being unhappy with the original, judging from some of the rumours I saw about his "revival" effort..........................was that "Battlestar Atlantis crashed on Earth" thing ever real, by the way, or some hot air on the web etc.?

Even though Glen Larson's done alot for television. He hasn't had it since his "Knight Rider" TV series? Everything afterwards never lasted a season or were any good to begin with. Highwayman (it had potential though), Nightman ugh.......
Larson needs to dump the ego trip and hook up with Hatch to develop a new Galactica. Mend bridges with Richard Hatch, and do whats best for fans and the show.
Glen Larson already sold out with G1980 (what else would you call it) If as, Dawg says he could be involved then "Lightning" does strike twice?

Actually, it might have. Network rules are very strict and generally based on time slot, from what I've learned- an earlier slot that could be viewed by kids had to have much less violence and fewer mature themes than a program in a later slot.

Micheleh Galactica 1980 was a joke. Without Benedict and Hatch there was no show. Greene and Jefferson Jr looked lost. The only reason I put up with it is it looks like a GREAT work compared to the drool Moore is giving us. On top of that look at the reported second season of BG scripts. No wonder the show was cancelled. They were giving us Troy the cabin boy.

I didn't like it either. I'm just saying from his POV, as being unwilling to accept responsibility for why it was indifferent, it would be a legitimate gripe to mention the time slot.

One Final Point
One thing I did omit was the HATCHETT job they did on Richard. I have never heard Richard badmouth anyone in any of the interviews OWD played on Radio Galactica.

Ya know i did ask a direct question to the title of this post? Well, if the subject is about "BG on Sciography"
What became of that Sciography footage BGInfoSphere had on it?! Interviews, footage, TV documentaries featuring BG stars, The shows lnsights etc.
Wouldn't that answer everyone's questions. By covering what was on that website?

I remember the site but have no idea where it went. I also remember the series was supposed to air much longer than it did. They stoped producing it after the Quantum Leap episode.

It's gone kingfish i know. but i'm wondering if the webmaster of that site put his online stuff somewhere else, to just terminate all that site info seems a waste to me.

Two things:
1.) Joseph Beaudoin (web owner) was already supporting multiple BG web domains; this was a chance to centralize his focus to one BG web site: TheGalactican.com
2.) School, family and trying to see the sunshine now and then.
Joe is a member here at Colonial Fleets, although I imagine he's been far too busy to check in and answer this. A couple of years ago, Joe, Nathan Proia and Chris Feehan, imho, raised the bar for dedicated BG web sites. While we may not be getting the original BG back, I'll always think of Joe as one of the key motivational webmasters who launched a mega-site to promote the return/continuation of the Original Battlestar Galactica.
My hat's off to Joe. :colwar:
