Hmm... No Dr. Smith? That's like Star Wars A New Hope without Darth Vader!
He may not have been billed so, but Jonathan Harris as Dr. Smith was clearly the star of the original Lost in Space. It was the breadth of his conniving yet loveable character which gave the show its memorableness and family appeal. A good show needs an antagonist. One that pulls our heart strings as well is something I cannot imagine them leaving out.

they looked at what ron moore is doing "reinventing" and want to do it to lost in space. what will the new name be "lust in space"
i will watch it and hopefully they dont kill it.

and the new show does need a doctor smith. i would like to see a more evil dr smith. something like gary oldman in the 5th element, would be great.
