For those in NC and surrounding area, I just thought I would bump this up since this event is less then four weeks away. Richard Hatch will be the Media Guest of Honor at this year's StellarCon held in High Point, NC (near Greensboro and Winston-Salem) on Fri-Sun, February 17-19th, 2006.
I am hoping to be there on Friday night for the opening ceremonies with my 501st Legion Garrison. If you plan to attend this event on Friday night, let me know and maybe we could meet!

I went to StellarCon and got to see Richard again. He showed his continuation trailer again and I must say, I didn't know how I would react. It has been more than 3 years since I last saw it..but I tell you, once it got going, I couldn't help it. The tears started welling up in my eyes and by the end, I was secretly wiping them off my face!!! Oh, what could have been. Still in my mind, those 4 or so minutes are the true continuation of what Battlestar was and still is...
Richard did say one new thing. He said that his publisher died in a freak accident and that the future of any new BSG novels is up in the air. IN fact, he went on to say that the last book released last October (Redemption) is probably the last BSG novel. And he said that he left it hanging since he thought he was going to continue it in the next book! Just like the original series..we are left with an unfinished story again...
Frack!

Maybe Dynamic Comics will be willing to adapt Richard's previous novels, then pick up where he left off?
