Earthbound Space:1999 30th Anniversary Celebration in Florida

In July, American Space:1999 fans are celebrating the series' 30th Anniversary at the Earthbound 2005 convention in Florida.
Across the weekend of July 22nd to July 24th, 2005, fans will be gathering at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sabel Park, Tampa for the 17th Space:1999 convention where they will meet stars of the series, watch favourite episodes and toast the anniversary at a special banquet.
The event will help to raise funds for the Diabetes Research Institute, the National Parkinson Foundation and Francis House, a local interfaith day respite centre for people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Four star guests have been confirmed to attend Earthbound 2005 (professional commitments permitting):
SYLVIA ANDERSON - format co-creator and Year One producer
BARRY MORSE - Professor Victor Bergman
PRENTIS HANCOCK - Main Mission controller Paul Morrow
ZIENIA MERTON - Data analyst Sandra Benes
Full weekend (three days) tickets for the convention cost $125 rising to $150 from April 1st. Single day tickets are also available at $50 each rising to $60 from April 1st.
The celebrity buffet banquet on the Saturday evening (July 23rd) will be followed by a special performance of Doug Grisson's science-fiction play Contact performed by Zienia Merton and regional theatre actor Ryan Case. Tickets for this part of the event are supplementary and cost $50 each.
