Paper Model of the Battlestar Galactica
Here is a paper model of the Battlestar Galactica (TOS) that I build two years ago.
It was a fun easy build. It took about a week (about 2 hours a day) to build it
If you are interested, you can find the template here: https://jleslie48.com/bg/index.html

Re: Paper Model of the Battlestar Galactica
Cool. Thank for sharing.
When I'm off the iPad/ safari and on a proper browser I'll chase down the patterns. I could see a use for the raider and viper patterns as a mobile. Can't waste all that air space in the study LOL
Cheers

Well, you know the old saying:
"It all looks great on paper, until....."
Just kidding. Paper (card stock) models can look really spectacular. Like this Galactica model.

Re: Paper Model of the Battlestar Galactica
Thank you all for the GREAT compliments!
YES, it is only paper (and the template is FREE to download)
For those of you who are interested in getting started in paper modeling, check out www.zealot.com (I am there under the same avatar name).
(*NOTE* The forum is going through a transitional period at the moment. There are some technical problems and it will be migrated to a new platform soon.)

Re: Paper Model of the Battlestar Galactica
Cool stuff. I love finding yet another branch of fandom :-)
Very impressed by the stuff I could view on zealot. Looked nice on the big monitor.
The Panzer was awesome and convinced me there could be a good use for the heavy art stock in my craft zone after all...
Looking forward to viewing when the IT issues and the migration are sorted.
Thanx
Cheers

Re: Paper Model of the Battlestar Galactica
I am glad that You enjoyed it!!!
I have always preferred paper model building over plastic (for many different reasons).
As for Zealot, the (actual physical) migration will take place very soon.
By all means, create an account there (if you have not already) and enjoy the show (maybe even get infected with the itch to make a paper model for yourself or a loved one).
ENJOY!!!

Re: Paper Model of the Battlestar Galactica
Zealot is now up and running. There are some bugs still to deal with though.
I am working on rebuilding the RESOURCE Section (A.K.A. The DOWNLOAD Section).
All of the BSG models (both TOS & TNS) have all been UPLOADED!!! I will be working on the rest as time allows.
So be all means, check it out. The web address is www.zealot.com.
