Cylon "Combat" raider, model finished
I finished this off last night. For the last couple of days I have been modelling a classic raider. Finished it off last night and was going to start texturing her. Browsing through my sources I came across a tiny schematic of something called a recon raider, which I assume is a fan sketck. Taking this as a lead, and following the fine tradition of TV sci-fi for taking an existing prop and re-modelling it, I give you the "combat" raider. I obviously uses a lot of the standard vessel, with the outer panels the main change, plus the canopy to make it a two seater. It was just begging for extra guns too!

Adult and offspring This is a similar process to the various Tie fighter spin offs I guess. It could easily be a hopped up raider from the undelivered second series. Accidentally it kinda points the way to the new series raider too. Whatever, I think she looks cool. Here are the pair together.

That's very nicely done! I like the lines on it, as well as the dual guns on each side. Excellent job!

Thanks chaps! I have posted a few renders of this finished and textured in the art section. Ernie, I certainly will be trying a movie at some stage, I'll let you know when I manage it.

Thanks Steve, nice pics, very cool models. I forget where I came across the scematics, I'll have a look around and post if I find the site. Sorry about the long delay in replying, I have been snowed under recently, really wiped out with work.
