My finished Cylon Raider....FINISHED!
This is what it looked like previously:
And now, after reworking it:
I removed the cockpit cover & filed it down to lower & streamline it by 2 mm, and replaced the 'nose' with a scratch built new one, then re-painted the worked areas, and lastly, added in the dark panel lines.
Whaddya think?

We got all kinds of stuff- Firefox, Flying Sub, Lost In Space Robot, X- Wing, light cycle, Millennium Falcon... we can't even put it all in one place to photograph, there's just too much!

Sure, but it's a kit-bash for playing-with purposes mainly. More toy than detailed replica, but so much fun to zoom around!

Thanks, but it IS somewhat on the crude side. But sturdy for play!!
I just took this for size comparison:

Big fan here too. The DVD release is surprisingly sharp IMO. Blacks very spot on. Dykstra's FX look very shiny on it! BR will only be better.

It's a paper model my Son found online, and printed on card stock to make.
He hot-glued it, & assembled it as-printed; it's his most impressive work to-date!
It can be found here:
https://www.papermodelers.com/forum/d...do=file&id=222
but you have to set up an account to download, my Son says.
I love the scale & detail.

Oh, I told him! It's right there next to my Galactica! I was frankly amazed. In two weeks he finished what I could not have in the same amount of time. It was like, 33 pages of stuff. I'm very proud of him.

I love those plastic models... I don't have the patience gluing on all those little bitty pieces! Looks way better than the re-imagined design Much respect to you.

It's studio-model colour. Next time I do it, I'll lighten it up a bit to resemble what it looked like onscreen after optical washout.

Thanks. Truthfully, I don't have much patience either, but I force myself because I just love having it look perfect after I'm done. Not that some parts aren't enjoyable, but fabricating parts from scratch is really tedious. It's like watching glue set.
Well, it IS mostly watching glue set! (c) 2011 Apolloisall Quotations
