the Celestra is the Electronics’ ship in BSG seen in the second last Episode .. check out the Gallerys and you will see 2 pic there....... This is a 3D model rather than a physial model..... using a program called Lightwave ...

It is been made for a FanFilm

A great start Taranis.

Several CGI fanfilm makers have expressed disappointment over the last year or so that less ships of the Rag Tag Fleet were available.

I remember mentioning being surprised there wasn't a model of the Rising Star a while ago. Its great you're developing one. Always thought she would have been pretty easy to model since most (but not round the engines) is a pretty uncomplex model.

I can't wait to see them in action ! You have my upmost encouragement !

Thank's ernie I always wanted to do what has not been done alot in the CGI models area .. I don't really want to build Vipers or raiders etc .. but the big one The BIG G its self .. is one I ant to build .. these are the run up models ..

If i can get to half of SteveWs and Westys Galactica's I will be happy .. I will have up dates soon .. I want to get to the textureing bay the end of next week .. thats adding the skin

I didn't know that.

I have been asked by a few animators whether I knew of any other than in the downloads here at CF, and I've said no.

I really hope its possible to covert them to LW, and add them here at CF. The rules at CF are changing so that people can download them without having to post 5 times.

I have also been wondering about asking to include them on a 'resources' page I am planning for me site....what does everybody think ?

Awesome. then not only would your site be a place to view BSG fan films, it would then become a resource to make BSG fan films. Brilliant.

Still think you should include a section for fan edits though. DK has some incredible work.

That sound cool and make a lot of sence for your site .... What ever model I build
in the BSG Galaxy is going to be made availible for download .. In lightwave at first .. so you are welcome to post them also if you like ..

and haveing a BSG fanfilm 'resources' page it a wonderful idea ... I would inclued
items as jjrakman said and any and all schematics / Blueprints for modelers .. That the one area the has me stumped .. Stevew just saved my bacon with 2 picture of the Celestra . (thanks Steve)

Never used LW, in Solidworks it is called fillets. I think they give the edges a more realistic look

It just makes the edges slightly round. When you do sheet metal you always break the sharp edges, it is sorta like that. If you look at all my models you will see it. It adds more polys but is is worth it to me
