Action Figures I'd like to see!
Wishful thinking I know!
Gammoray assault team, Count Iblis/Iblis' true self, Spectre, Lightship beings, Starbuck in Long Patrol gear, Sheba in War of the Gods Dress, Gunfighter Apollo, Nomen and... Adama with beard, Troy, Dillon, (with turbobikes) Jamie and Dr Zee.

Not bad? I remember when i was young and went to market and going to the toy shop the big thing back then was either "ACTION MAN" (G.I. JOE in the U.S.) those big figures (I'm talking Barbie sized) He-Man and Transformers or The STAR WARS toys.
So with that in mind Peter, it's good you also know of the variations of toy action figures kids also collected back then and if BG had a huge range of figures to select which ones people would go for.
*Apollo, Starbuck, Boomer, Bo-Jay, Sheba and Cassiopea in the "Black Ops Assault team gear" from LL
* Starbuck, Apollo and Sheba in white Colonial Uniforms from WOTG
* Count Iblis/and true Iblis
* Starbuck in his LP gear
* Gunfighter Apollo from LW (heh Apollo, come back Apollo?...Apollo!)
* Borellian Nomen
* Turbobikes (Called "landprobes" for BG "Showdown" and Turbobikes for G1980)
* Adama with beard and Troy & Dillon for a G1980 set
Don't forget to add
* Croft, Wolfe, Cree, Vulpa, along with Starbuck, Apollo, Boomer, in "Colonial Snow terrain gear" from GOIPZ
* Toys sets as the, Landram (scrab), Rag Tag fleet ships i.e. Gemini freighters, Rising Star, Agroships, Prison barge, Celestra, Lifestock ships etc.
* Basestars, Battlestars (with little differences name plates etc.)
* Eastern Alliance/Western Nationalist figures, along with the toy ships of the Lunar 7 sleeper ship, Alliance Destroyer ship.
* Figures based on all important guest stars of the show and figures of the Cylon civilians from LL as well as Spector and Lucifer
Just wacking out some ideas to go along with your own.

Don't forget a series devoted to the little people of the fleet i.e. supporting cast action figures set, along with the Pegasus crew figures.
* Omega, Tigh, Jolly, Greenbean, Dr Salik and Dr Wilker, Giles, Komma, Brie, Dietra and of course Rigel (added bonus you get Dr Paye too)
* Battlestar Pegasus set includes Cain, Tolan, Silver Spar Squadron and the Pegasus Launch Officer for arguement sake we'll give him a name? "Ajax"!

Hey forgot to add a Starbuck and Apollo spacesuit version from the FIS (Fire in Space) episode last night! And the pilgrim Colonial Warriors from TMW (The Magnificent Warriors) episode as well. And add some aliens like the Boray and Tucan singers figures too. To this monster Battlestar Galactica figures set.
Rounding it off you could add "John" from the EIT episode and the dreaded Council of the Twelve (Sire Uri, Anton, Gellar, Domra, Siress Tinia, The grey man from WOTG and others) Dr Ravashol with his series 5-9 clones, Council security chief Reece, Aurora, Chakka, Baltar and Flt Sgt. Barton to this fictional action figures set!

This is all I have time to think of. I'll come up with more at a later time. Hasbro should get the license to do this line. They need to avoid the action features that they've used on the resent Star Wars figures. Just give me great detail and articulation, along with the proper accessories for each figure. That's all I need.

Maybe Todd McFarlane company McFarlane Toys Inc. should get the rights. You can't argue that his toys or highly detailed figures aren't good? I say McFarlane should get the rights to it! What do some of you others think.

Kingjason,
McFarlane Toys makes some awesome figures. For Christmas, my wife gave me the Aliens Vs Predator boxed set that they just released. I have to say, the detail is incredible. I think they would do a wonderful job with Galactica if given the opportunity.

Dah66 your a man with taste alright, although i 'm too old for toys now, people usually buy them and don't open them so they are great collector's items to boot! If only hmmm. Ah well, this wish list for Galactica toys figures set and Galactica on DVD would make for an excellent 2003!

But not that kind of action! Speaking of action what have the members of the fanbase been doing with themselves to make waves with BG. You know, fan based stuff? drawings, models, fanfic etc. Don't suppose as fans anyone with enough interest in building they figures they have suggested, would build some BG figures like the plaster cast figures kids or fans of modeling would do in college and school.
A little food for thought.
Don't think anyone would be crazy enough to build dolls based on BG though heh, unless you got some crazy fetish for life sized ones of BG characters, Cylons, Colonial Warriors, Nomen, Seraphs, Alliance Enforcers and those Borays!
