Default TOS Galactica Models

The various conversations about ship models got me to thinking--

how many different ship models were there?

I'm aware of the models for the Galactica, the Cylon Base Ship, the Vipers, and Cylon Raider but, what about the other ships like Robbers ship, the Eastern Alliance, and the Light Ship.

Is there any information and/or pictures available of these ship models?

CGI or studio models?

Both TheHobb's site (SteveW, got the URL handy???) has a few photos of other ships.

A section at www.cloudster.com has some photos.

I forget the site name, but a Yahoo or Google search for Ken Larson should pop it up. Heartland something or other has photos of some ships.

For the original show, between 60 and 75, that includes launch tubes, Cylon mines, Ravishol Pulsar etc.

And of course, the models would often show up on Buck Rogers!

The prison barge there Peter was eventually cast over with a resin to convert it to another Buck Rogers ship. In other words it would have to be totally rebuilt. If you look real close on the sides there you 'll see they used a submarine on the sides of that ship.

That's it!

Our friendly neighborhood collector Gary found it, purchased and got the ship you see in the above pic. He was furious!

No way to save it so unfortunately folks the original prison barge is a lost cause.

From the photos Bishop sent me- How accurate is the bottom? Is that unchanged?

Darrell, the underneath in the middle is accurate yet but the rest of it is gone.

The sides use to have world war 2 submarines on glued on each side of the ship. The bastardized it pretty good.

Don, I mean from the photos Bishop sent me. They're different than that ...umm whatever it is with the thing sticking out the side.

You know how I've been looking for good ref material to finish that model

You know there isn't alot of info on her or i'd have done a while back. I have some of the model pieces and did the partial build for Zoic before handing it off to someone else to finish.

Here are some more Buck Rogers models that originally appeared in BSG. Above: The Canares (sp?) shuttle from The Man With Nine Lives was originally a background rag tag fleet ship. This is from Ardala Returns where it's redressed as a Directorate shuttle.

Above: From the same episode, the fake Earth probe was originally a Cylon mine from Saga of a Star World.

Above: The Gemini Freighter appears in Space Vampire. They made a tiny version for the scene where the freighter collides with the space station.

Above: Yep, the flying brick crashes again in Journey to Oasis from season two of Buck.

Above: Formerly Robber's shuttle from The Long Patrol, this is the dwarves' ship from Shgoratchx!

Above: The Cylon Tanker, pictured with added nascelles from The Dorian Secret.

You know what the ultimate would be for me?

Having several models of the Galactica at the same show at the same time, sitting side by side!

Now that would be a show stopper!

Titon, do you know who got the Eastern Alliance destroyer when it went up on ebay? (I'm thinking it was a regular listing though it might have been on of the live memorabilia auctions.
