My Classic Constitution class, and My take on the Federation class Dreadnaught
Howdy, all,
Over the last couple of days, I'd been simultaneously working on some TOS Star Trek ships...namely the U.S.S. Enterprise, and a variant on the Franz Joseph created Federation-class Dreadnaught.
I think these turned out pretty durned cool...looking almost as if they'd jumped out of the cels of the Animated series from 1972. They have rotating Bussard collectors, blinking nav lights, and glowing impulse engines (blue).
Did both of these in about two days time, built in Blender, assembled and textured in iClone.
First, the Enterprise...

And now, my variant of the Franz Joseph created Federation-class Dreadnaught....the U.S.S. Federation, NCC-2100
After posting these images, I straighted out the registry on the upper hull of the saucer section.
Hope you like...
