Supersoldier question
I have a question for anyone who has seen evolution pt.2. When they put Jacob in the supersoldier armor to infiltrate Anubis's base, why did he take it off later? Considering it gives the wearer invincibility to almost all weapons fire, he could have mowed down everyone in the base.

I wondered about that too. Guess it would make too much sense to have him wear the suit and clear the path for the escape. Suppose they could have left off the helmet so you could tell it was him. Anyways, it was a good episode, but it left questions about why create such a large army of super soldiers that apparently don't live very long unless you plan on immediately launching a massive attack simultaneously. And that's assuming the people you want to kill are at the place you expect them to be at. Then how would the Anubus fill the leadership void and solidify his grip on power and the various systems?

Hmmm...Limited Lifetime warranty on Armor suit and weaponry, guaranteed to stop and deflect all forms of energy weapons and provide overwhelming superior firepower* (*under normal operating conditions). All other parts, including the clone and Goa'uld symbiote, are either considered normal wear and tear items or for off-world use only and are not covered. Contact your local loyal Anubis Jaffa for more information. Factory tours are also available, by appointment only.
lol...j/k

Perhaps, being the egomaniac that all Goa'uld are, Anubis wanted some worshipers...
Anyway, wasn't Jacob's armour damaged?

Not sure, but the SGC should have had two armor suits, the 1st one was from the SS that collapsed and died (no damage to suit since Teal'c and Bra'tac only used energy weapons) and the 2nd one was from Ramius' planet, when they transported a SS into the cargo hold and took it back for interrogation. The 2nd suit should only have a small hole from the tranquilizer dart.

if these guys are so close to terminal overload shouldn't we be able to put something in that dart to push them past the red line?

Carter thought so, but the dart had no effect. But then again they were trying to tranquilize/capture the SS so the SGC/Tok'ra could interogate/probe it's mind to reveal its origin and/or home base. Lot of speculation out there, but there has been no hints or concrete solutions that have aired as of yet. Guess we just have to wait for the SG1 writers to provide the answers in future episodes.

The suit was probably very uncomfortable and he couldn't move fast in it...after all it wasn't made for him.....just a thought....
