Using Moore's story as a prequal piece to A desanto series could be pretty hot.
They can say that the events of the original series sort of happned pretty much the same.
But it gives DeSanto & Singer the flexibility to go back and fix all of the stuff that didnt work in flash back episodes.

Depends on how "Pre" the prequel would be.
If it is just a few days or hours then not so much.
Just names and some events.

It also offers a little more lattitude since it wouldnt have to adhere as strictly to the original continuity.
