Battlestar reference images
I have a little time the next few days, so I decided to do a bit of modeling.
I'm going to start fitting my interior compartment sections into an exterior battlestar model. During my search through my database of reference images I came across this one that I'm attaching. I'm thinking about using it as a reference plane image, unless I find something better.
Who made this? And how close is it to the Folkrm and Titon versions?
Right now I just want to block out a basic shell, no details, but I want decent accuracy. The Bow on this one looks like it is a bit longer than most versions, and I think longer is more correct.

Re: Battlestar reference images
Okay, after looking at this image some more I can see that the underside of the bow is lower than the bottom of the flightpod's and the engine nozzles are a bit too wide. and perhaps the Bow isnt as long on this one as I first thought.
I was starting to use the schematic by 137th Gebrig yesterday, but I found that the front/rear images are at a different scale than the top and sides. I didnt spend much time investigating this, and possibly my image got stretched at some point (Felgercarb happens).

Re: Battlestar reference images
okay I just downloaded that one and took measurements in photoshop. The fornt/rear DO appear to be rendered at the same scale as the others. It looks like I somehow accidentally resized the copy I had of that same image. This makes My previous scale tests invalid
Now a 6080 foot long Battlestar looks like it wont have to have the landing bay entrance expanded nearly as much as I had previously thought. Thanks for prodding me to revisit the Jim Stevenson schematic again.
