Didja go see him live?? I saw him in '82 when he did the QE2 concert. just the man, the venue and the music..AWESOME!!!
Those last notes on Tubluar bells you could have heard a pin drop, before the encore encore encore!!

Never seen him live  . did see two film clips though, at about that time, of wonderful land.
one by him and one that (i think) channel nine used that version for some sort of australiana type clip with all scenes of landscapes and aussie animals.
would love to see The orchestral tubular bells live that'd be awesome.

two warner music DVDs that are easy to find, local, are the Millenium Bell concert he did in Berlin (he plays a lot in Eurpoe still) shot of the Art in Heaven performance

I was watching that series of films just a few days ago, I liked that tune myself, going through my classic film collection.
