Invisible light? Wrong frequency, Kevin. This is what gets you killed dead if you don't have a way to see it in the modern military, or in modern life in general. Your TV remote relies on it.
We learned why cameras worked in the last one. Here we learn how light spreads and diffuses. Here is more of that stuff about light that sounds so innocuous; but that can KILL you, if you don't understand it, namely SOLAR WEATHER.
Quantum mechanics translates into REAL THINGS. You can make money off of this. And of course, if you don't understand it (energy measured as frequency), it will KILL you.
Uhm. Jitter and stepping. Be aware of those fundamental MATTER properties. Its what has hung up physics for the last one hundred years.
What makes the difference. Somebody took thirty years [founder of Green Peace] to figure out that PHYSICS, as in the ignorance of the same can KILL you. Physics is GREEN in money and philosophy. Review of the stuff that you've just learned.
And relativity. The professor doesn't know why relativity is IMPORTANT. I do. If you don't understand observer viewpoint, and the two limits, light and absolute zero, and the concept of INTERVAL as a stretchable value, then you won't understand why space is elastic in only two directions, in the direction of travel, and perpendicular to that direction. The faster you go, the flatter and heavier you become. You pile up inertia shorten your frequency, increase your mass, slow down your time until at some point you STOP.
After failing to join relativity and quantum mechanics we now really fail.
Black holes is where quantum mechanics break down. Relativity too: because infinity is a mathematical concept you can normalize through cancellation (=), but not through +/- or x. Infinity like zero is immune to those operators. Never mind why, but when we invent operators that can handle the two absolute boundaries, then, we can make physics' uncertainty go away and not bother us anymore. Anyway black holes.
We will be trying to make them (VERY SMALL AND SHORT LIVED ONES) in the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. There is a minuscule small, but still existent chance that we can really goof this up and blow a hole the size of Switzerland in Switzerland, (and France) when we do this.^1
That is why we are NOT building the LHC in Illinois.
Cosmology has this nasty little surprise embedded in it: learn about it. Like I said this stuff can KILL you.
^1 micro-blackholes evaporate very quickly via Hawking Radiation; as in KABOOM!
