Titon, . . . . nice start on the bridge I am looking forward to seeing that finished,
I am just finding out about DeSanto and were he fits into the BSG scheme. It seems he had the original project for the new updated version or continuation of BSG, "is this right?".
Anyway . . seeing some of his concept work may be a real treat.
I am also interested in seeing this galactica you all were talking about, what does it entail (sp) ?

You are correct sir. Check the site for CA's interview with Tom DeSanto. You can either read the transcript over at CA or download the 3 part podcast interview from either Fleets of CA.

The bridge needs to be finished.
If the physical model was destroyed with hammers, then the least that could be done is the digital completetion of what could have been.
Kudos to effort!

It would be amazing if it was done in a CGI fan episode, the bridge looked so cool

Re: DeSanto Bridge Concept...
Hey Jim. Haven't had much chance to do anthing. I've been to dang busy with my family that the cg has kind of fizzled out. Possibly a future but it might only be in my own little world.
I should mention though that although Guy Dyas is prominently featured on the concept art for this the concept was actually drawn by Nathan Schroeder. You can find more info about the artist here... www.nathanschroeder.net

Re: DeSanto Bridge Concept...
Ah the world of 3d printing. I moved away from a lot of the cg work and have been modeling for 3d printing as of the last few years. Safe to say that it's incredible what can be done now.
Anyway thought i would show a few things i printed concerning this bridge concept which is the rear view screen and the arch that you go under to get to it from the bridge.

Re: DeSanto Bridge Concept...
Very nice and very cool to see parts of the DeSanto bridge in actual "living" 3D...albeit smaller scale.
