Lightbulb SG:A 'Poisoning the Well' Spoilers

From Gateworld:

Spoiler
First 'Poisoning the Well' plot details
APRIL 16, 2004

The first info on Stargate Atlantis' upcoming episode "Poisoning the Well" is now available! Casting has begun for the episode, which is set to be the seventh episode of the new spin-off series to go before cameras.
Beware of spoilers in the report below!

On the planet Hoff, scientists have been working for more than 150 years on a drug to protect them against the Wraith's regular feeding on their people. But whenever the Wraith come, the Hoffans lose nearly everyone who has been working on the drug. They keep some records, including Wraith cell samples, which the next generation eventually take up to continue the research.

Earth's Dr. Carson Beckett works closely with Perna on the drug and determines that a researcher named Mylan Farris discovered a particular protein that made human cells able to repel a Wraith feeding -- which Beckett himself witnesses in a petrie dish. But Farris was killed in the Wraith's last "culling" of the Hoffans, and Perna was left with the task of duplicating his work. This discovery is groundbreaking, and Dr. Beckett and Weir discuss whether or not it will work on the Wraith today.

Beckett has been doing tests on the arm brought back from Athosia (Athos), and thinks that the Hoffan drug may work. But it could only be a matter of time before the Wraith discover the humans of Hoff are being inoculated against them and hunt down every person who has been in contact with them. Hoff may be the newest smoking crater yet -- and the drug itself may have disastrous side-effects.

"Poisoning the Well" should air this summer on The Sci-Fi Channel.

(Thanks to Brent Spargo for the report, and Morjana, James and Brandon for the tip!)

Thanks Scifi!

I took a brief look. I don't want to spoil the surprise for myself though.

I'm really looking forward to this!
