Steve, your work is simply amazing.
I thought your Defender mesh was the hottest BSG-based cgi out there, but this little gem gives the Defender a run for its money.
I have no criticisms of the design. Although I'm not too sure I like the name -- a little too human -- doesn't quite sound Colonial.
Other than than that, the only thing I can say is show us MORE!!!
Please.

Well,
I am honored that you would even consider my opinion! Glad to know my two cents are at least worth two cents to somebody on the board.
Anyway, since so much of the BSG universe -- both in visual style and language -- seems to be inspired by Egyptian mythology (or the Greek translations of Egyptian words), I'd have to suggest something along those lines ... at least superficially.
My first suggestion would be the Egyptian God of War, Ophois, also known as "The Opener of Ways." Ophois is the Greek translation of the original Egypian name Wepwawet, but Ophois sounds cooler. Ophois is also often represented by the Jackal, and your design kind of reminded me of a Jackal... at least in the "head" section.
I also just finished reading Anne Rice's "Queen of the Damned" (the book is MUCH better than the movie, FYI), so I'm also kind of partial to the name Akasha. Since she's sexy and kicks but in the book (and this ship is sexy and looks like it kicks butt), Akasha makes sense.
So, my recommendation would be to either name it Ophois or Akasha. I'll leave it up to your descression, but I'm leaning a little more toward calling it the Ophois Class.
Thanks for at least considering my rant,

PS:
Before somebody jumps on me and starts screaming, "Isn't Anubis the God of War? Isn't Anubis supposed to be the Jackal? Isn't that what they keep telling us on Stagate SG-1?" ... Let me tell you that four years of comparative religion studies in college (focusing on just about every religion of the Middle East starting from Ancient Egypt to Modern Islam) have taught me that not everything we learn about Egypt through SG-1 is entirely accurate.
Ophois, or Wepwawet, pre-dates Anubis by at least several hundred years (if not at least 1,000 years according to some historians). It wasn't until the pharohs and other people in positions of power began pushing for the consolidation of the various gods that Wepwawet was combined with Anubis (originally only the God of the Dead).
Again, picking Ophois over Anubis was merely a consideration of which was older ... since the arrival of the Colonials on Earth would have to predate the combining of Ophois and Anubis.
More worthless fun facts for those of you who only have a passing interest in Egyptian mythology.
:p
