PC Games-Non Rant-help
I purchased one today. The piece of junk doesn't work. It is titled Navy Seals. I installed it and it worked once. Now all I get is a white screen with hidden buttons. FRACK.

I'm having a similar issue with my Sim Theme Park. It worked fine on the piece of junk, and it worked fine the first time I installed it on this one, but now, it keeps crashing back to the desktop.

Hi,
I was able to return the game to Walmart and fortunately they refunded my money.

I have noticed that almost none of my games work on XP. Oddly, Age of Mythology also by Microsoft is the only one that does, and it crashes sometimes too.

Hmmm, maybe I should try running it in emulator mode.

I've heard that in some cases, especially with older games and XP, the DirectX version is too *new* and is incompatible.

A possible solution...
A friend of mine had bought Star Trek Dominion Wars for his computer (Windows XP) and it was not running so good. However, there is an option in the game that allows you to run the game as if it were on Windows 98 or Win2000/ME...(recommend Windows 98). I think you can do this from the "Properties" button when you right click on your game's Icon. The button you are looking for is "Compatibility".
I hope this helps. Sorry it is so vague, but since I don't have my own computer at this moment, I cannot install a game to walk back through the procedure. I will soon have a computer within a week or two. WOOT!
Respectfully,
martok2112
