A Challenge for fans!
OK Warriors, I want you to list your all-time favourite bits from the episodes of BSG!
Favourite bits of action, quotes, scenes etc. Basically all the bits that sum up the postive things about BSG.
I want you to list the episode it comes from and roughly at what point time wise it occurs in the episode, and why you've chosen it as being the best of Galactica.
If you're up for the challenge, post away!
Shape up and fly right. Watch out for those golmonging tinheads!
Peter

Baltar:What are you babbling about another battlestar. Baltar turns and almost craps himself. This is one of the best scenes from LL.

Hi All!
Here's one that I love.....
Tigh: Looks like a lot of our warriors violated orders and skipped the party.
Adama: Yes Colonel make a note to discuss dicipline in the ranks.
Tigh: Yes Sir!
Fun "throw away" dialog.
Rich.

this part...
While not a great episode, Greetings from Earth (part 1) has one of my favorite moments where Apollo looses his temper in the officer lounge while Starbuck and Reese are debating what to do with the "Earthlings."
Apollo: I find it hard to sacrifice one life, even to save thousands... (at least it was something like that)
Great moment into Apollo's character.

I liked the storyline from 3 episodes in particular. I/we were able to see past, present, and (possible) future:
1--Lost Planet of the Gods-->the exploration of the Temple/ruins on Kobol. Finding the link to the ancestors of the 'Colonials' and to the mysterious 13th tribe. History has always been a favorite of mine and with 'serial' shows like BSG, knowing the background history of the people and civilization helps to understand the motivations of the characters in the 'present day' storyline.
2--War of the Gods-->the revelation by the Beings of Light (angels) that 'what you are now, we once were; what we are now, you may become" needs little explanation. Simply said, it gives an idea of the possible evolution of the human species.
3--The Hand of God-->a link to both the past and to a possible future. The use of the Celestial Dome, by the Colonial ancestors, in 'double-checking' the navigation computers and, of course, the Apollo 11 transmission that 'the Eagle has landed'. Is that event in their past, present, or future? The storyline is wide open.
For me, the first 2 stories have left us with a tremendous amount of story-telling potential. Separate story arcs could easily fill out an entire season, or could run concurrent (with a present-day storyline) throughout a series (if we ever get to that point). The time following 'The Hand of God', as many have stated, would be the starting point for the continuation.
It's a shame that 'there are some who believe' that this is not important.

Hi All!
Something that I remeber recording on audio cassette when Living Legend was first broad cast(I think).
Starbuck: I mean she wouldn't marry him? (about Cassie and Cain) Let's face it he IS an OLDER man.
Apollo: Starbuck you better look up on your Book of the Word, some of the elders were married to some very YOUNG WIVES.
Starbuck: WIVES!? Aren't we getting ahead of ourselves.
Something to that effect,I havent seen that scene in a Long while, anyone have the actual dialog?
Laters!
Rich.

Ok My Fave Line..
I'll give my favourite piece of dialogue between Cassie and Starbuck in the sick bay during "The Man With Nine Lives" when she's trying to get a cell sample from Starbuck:
Starbuck:
"Your going to extract a brain cell?
From my head?
And it isn't dangerous?"
Cassie:
"Only if there's nothing in there to extract." *smirk*

Hi All!
Apollo: Does your wife share your view of denying food to others?
Sire Yuri: My wife?
Apollo: Sireress Yuri, I dont see her?
Sire Yuri incincere)Unfourtunately she was not in time to make the voyage.
Apollo beat) My sympathies. I share your Berevement. Sirerees Yuri was an outstanding woman.
Sire Yuri: Yes.
Apollo: Im sure she would've been mooved by your period of mourning.
This series of sceens(the Rising Star) was in my opinion,an excelent and well structured sequence, with good dialog. I wish who ever wrote those pages were given more time to make the rest of the script taught with character interaction. God if only it could have been!
laters!

This is Fun to Do from Memory
In another example of what Ron Moore considers under developed characters and no view of the non-military types…oh-oh and no strong female characters.
Baltar’s Escape
“then we’ll have to assault the bay”
“Siress Tinia, I don’t think you understand…did you say assault the bay”, Adama said surprised.
“Adama I’m not stupid Baltar has no intention of releasing the hostages…”
The Noman Maga, “when the time comes to escape, we will momentarily die”.
“Die”, questions Baltar???
“We do many things to survive…even die”.
HHhhmm Ron Moore can you say new updated Klingons.

Adama: We're going to destroy them.
Baltar: Them? YOU? a basestar? not likely.
Adama: With your help.
Baltar: What makes you think I'd want to help you?
Adama: To regain your freedom.
