Yes, I also met him once at a Con here in the States.
We will begin losing more and more of the OT stars soon...

Re: David Prowse passed away
Yes, unfortunately as the years continue to go by, and "Hollywood" continues to re-invent older franchises (re-imagining, re-booting, you get the picture) rather than doing reunion movie one-offs or sequels, we see, even with our beloved Galactica, that the original stars continue to pass away. Just last week Dawn Wells of Gilligan's Island passed away. Unfortunately too, for the collector or fan, she was so very nice and approachable.
I met David Prowse many years ago at a local sci-fi/comic show. For the most part he was friendly and a good signer. Not as chatty as some other stars from the original Star Wars saga, but still nice nonetheless.

Re: David Prowse passed away
I still can't believe we lost Richard Hatch! I still think he's out there trying to get a revival of BSG going...sad that that never really happened the way we wanted it to...

This is why, if you haven't already gotten it, the "Saga of a Fugitive Fleet" audio drama is a must-buy because it's the closest thing we'll ever have to the reunion/continuation we dreamed of.
