Default hot wheels cylon raider

I bought this on Nov. 10 at a toy show in Dayton, Ohio. There were a bunch of new Hot Wheels packages of TV show and movie vehicles. Obviously this one is NOT a car! I don't know if there are other BG items for sale.
The liner notes on the back are in English, French and Spanish. The stock number is X8899, copyright 2013 Mattel, and the packaging specifically states "for the adult collector."
The notes also say "imported by Mattel Canada Inc., Mississauga, Ontario L5R 3W2."
Do any of you know more about this little Cylon Raider? Is it being sold in Canada only? I almost fell over when I saw the row of TV cars by one dealer, and then SAW ONE NEW ITEM FOR BG!
I'm not taking this out of the box, but I wonder if any of you would also get one of these and then put it side by side with the Cylon ship that Mattel sold in the 1970s. I am wondering if it is the same mold, just much smaller.

I saw something about those recently as well. I have been searching for it in the stores but have had no luck...

Default more hot wheels and micro machines

Thank heavens for toy shows! I returned to Dayton Hara Arena in May and found three BG items. You can find the photos at Mary's collectibles.
First is the counterpart to the Raider I bought last year. I now have the Mattel Hot Wheels 35th Anniversary Colonial Viper. The package is dated 2012 for the 2013 market.
The second and third items were by Hasbro's Micro Machines. The Viper's package is dated 2006 for the 2007 market and the Raider is dated 2007 for the 2008 market. The Micro Machines are a tad bit smaller but more heavily detailed.

I have not seen these locally, either; only on eBay, and recently the vipers were going for $25 and up on eBay. Whoa...
