Ode to Evolution
Oh! Chimpanzee in a mechanical Bear costume!
What thoughts must cross your mind!
The heat, the lights, the Ovions
Just more people with ant-like behinds.
Oh! Chimp doubly furred!
The indignity of stardom forced!
The velcro, the whirring, the helmeted head
That to wear you are coerced!
A longing so! To be home and safe!
Among your playthings bright!
But we love you so Oh, Evolution!
On ABC every Saturday night!
-Gordon

Wow...you guys are amazing!
You've exibited AMAZING self-control in not pasting me one right on the proverbial kisser!
I plop Vogon-esque poetry here and you've managed to avoid laying into me for how bad it really is.
Kudos to all.

Psst. it was Sunday night.
It's a funny poem. Poor Evie probably did long for home while shooting.

I can ape-preciate this poem.
I'm sure you were gibbon it everything you got.
You certainly did not monkey-around with this.

It's been too long since I've been here, so I missed that one. That's funny, I got a huge kick out of it. Awesome work.

I was worried my brain would have a doubled-tripple haemorrhage, from reading it, and I won't even say what I thought, what was left of my head, would do from trying to decipher it's meaning....but hey Martok, you would have clearly had more serious problems...don't even ask me how your fears would knock out the seriousness of mine...actually, I'm not even sure I know what I'm talking about anymore must be some unseen force on this particular thread disorientating me...
Gordon, is marlarkey something like manure? That would explain a lot

Cthulu is a creation of horror author H.P. Lovecraft. In it, everyone seems to go insane.
Just don't take a Pan Galactica Gargleblaster to cure a hangover.

The main thrust of the cthulu mythos is the horror generated in passages of text that decribe very specifically the essence of indescribability. "The creature was all at once the blackest black but the most blinding white". "The presence filled me with a glorious dread". "It was a round square. Not a rounded square, but a shape that defied any attempt to quantify it."
And Vogons are the main "antagonist" in the beginning of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. They run a planetary demolition service and are as cross and un-freindly as it gets. They are also fond of nobody's poetry but their own... and it is so bad that one man actually suffered his intestine crawling up through his neck to throttle his brain as a result of listening to it.

Oh pretid gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
like furdled dabbleblodgets on a lurgid bee.
Groop, I implore thee
My foonting turlingdromes
and hooptuously grinkle me
With spindly lee-wurdles
Or I shall rend thee in the gobberworts
With my blurgecruncheon.
And see if i don't.
Etc.
Thats not a direct quote. If it was, you'd all be in for six months of deep psychiatric therapy.

Close enough!
My heart repeatedly jumped up through my chest to try and knock my head off my shoulders!
OUCH!

O fredled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
as plurdled gabberblotchets on a lurgid bee.
Hoop, I implore thee,
thy foonting turlingdromes,
and hooptuously drangle me
with crinkly spindiworldes.
Or, I shall rend thee in gobberwarts with my burglecruncheon.
See if I don't!

I think there's a new saying to be coined here:
"If it ain't complex, it ain't Damocles."
Am I right?
