My LATEST GREATEST build of the K't'inga!
Ok folks, here it is, my latest GREATEST build of the K't'inga class Klingon battlecruiser!
I went back and retextured practically everything, added some more greebling details hither and yon, and I think I fully resolved the normals (accidental transparency) issue. I think this has really turned out to be something. I am anxious to put her through her paces.
She ain't perfect, but she's a helluva lot closer than previous iterations:
She's ready for an honorable nozh scrap!
Tryin' to sneak up on 'er, eh?
A little mood lighting.

Re: My LATEST GREATEST build of the K't'inga!
Question. MERELY a question.......
Why do you have the impulse ports glowing while the ship is in warp?
Just askin'.......

Because the Heisenberg compensators are out of phase with the space matrix restoration coils, which results in a --- aww....heck....
Because the motion picture has them on while the K't'ingas are at warp.

Well, in the film, the warp nacelles aren't glowing green, but the impulse ports are hot.
Just trying to makes cents of it all.

Re: My LATEST GREATEST build of the K't'inga!
Thanks, John. Glad ya' liked it. More on the way soon.
Senmut, If you'll look at Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, you will definitely find that the warp engines are glowing green, while the impulse engines are active. So, even though my ship is largely based on the TMP version of the K't'inga, I decided to go with the Undiscovered Country K't'inga's lighting scenario.
Actually, at some point, I am thinking about trying my hand at modifying my K't'inga to resemble Q'onoS 'wa! (Kronos One). But that probably won't be for a while.

Re: My LATEST GREATEST build of the K't'inga!
I'm doing okay. Found plenty of time to revitalize my older model builds, going more for accuracy when and where I can.
With the Eaglemoss release (over time) of 65 different ships from Star Trek (die cast, 6 inch miniatures), I am looking forward to getting the K't'inga, which looks (assuming they don't change much over the initial image) like it might be modeled after Q'onoS 'wa! (Kronos One from Star Trek VI.) If that's the case, it will likely serve as the basis for my retexures when I do make Kronos One.
So, Pete, did you like my latest greatest build of the K't'inga?

Re: My LATEST GREATEST build of the K't'inga!
Cool. I'm glad.
I'm just about to put the finishing touches on my rebuild of the refit Enterprise/Constitution class.
