Default Help with Lightwave

Hello,

I'm asking for help from anyone experienced with Lightwave.

I'm creating a new Launch/Hanger deck for my Galactica...

I've basically created a box, and will be filling it in with stuff to create my scene.

I'm having issues... Major issues... With lighting my scene

I'm trying to use photometry lights to create a fluorescent look, but not having much like... I've attached some samples of what is going on and I'm hoping someone can give me a little guidance.

The first image is used with photometry lighting, but even at 100%, the image is almost pure black.

I've been told that I may need to adjust the scale of my models. But I wanted some further input on that.

I'm trying to recreate a hanger scene I did in Max, with Vray... Also I attached a scene from "space 1999"( I did not create), but I want to re-create the lighting.

When using any lighting in Lightwave it is best to scale your subjects in "real world" measurements.
Lighting like any thing in the Photometrics is real world scale based.
Also sometimes with the PM lights you may have to use crazy settings.....1000%.

Thanks Mikala... After doing much trial and error, I was able to find what I was doing wrong.

Your right... With the light setting for photometric light, "in lightwave", you can go up to 1000% if needed. Which is OK. You just have to manually type in that number... My model is scaled to about 17meters in length, so It's almost to scale. Here are some samples of what I created.

Thanks again.
