Star Wars Shots
I dont have an idea, but I may come up with one. So here are some shots.
Now this crap took over 12 hours of render time in the R13.

Re: Star Wars Shots
Thanks martok,
here is a lil more update. either my comp is infected or this HD stuff and R13,
not used to this slow rendering. Pi7 2600 should be doing better I think.

Re: Star Wars Shots
One of the things to watch for with rendering times is all the little settings. Fine tune each setting to a state where it gives you satisfactory visual quality, and then dont go much further, if any. A few hours spent trying to optimize render times will pay off big time later. Every minute or even second of per frame render time will multiply times the number of frames, it adds up BIG time in the end.
I dont know anything about how your models are built, but you can usually gain quite a bit of time by cleaning up geometry and deleting/hiding things that will not be seen.

Re: Star Wars Shots
Well, I rendered sooo much faster in R10, but lately Whole Comp is sluggish.
take comp in Monday maybe for some maint troubleshooting.
Am posting a New thread Star Wars Bandit ( A Love Story?). it has these shots and more.
Yeah I just switched to a new app which is not Helping At All. I hate switching apps, takes you 4 ever to learn the first one.
Thnx.
