Re: My finished landing bay diorama
Very interesting. I really like the oil stain and how the landing gear has tracked oil further away. I like those kinds of details a lot. The baked on shadow is also a cool detail.

LOL, my Wife saw it & asked if I spilled something on it !
I really like it, but somehow it isn't as grand as I'd imagined. But I *LOVE* how good my Viper came out!!!

The star field & planet are lit from behind- you can't really capture it well with a cheap camera like I have...
BTW, the planet is.....
EARTH!

That is really nice!!!! Forced perspective landing bay is a great idea. That is a really creative and artistic approach. Bravo! And the Viper is gorgeous. Something about a Viper on the landing gears that always looks so cool to me.

Thanks Titon!
I am particularly happy with how the landing gear appears to be part of the model when it's on them.

Thanks Borjis, and welcome to the Fleet! This is one of only two places I frequent (the other being Fireflyfans), and the peeps here are SO cool. Have you seen the Gallery? Creativity is absolutely RAMPANT here!

It had the decals to make it a Silver Spar if you wanted, but the box just says "30th Anniversary Colonial Viper."

Re: My finished landing bay diorama
Really nice work. I love the landing bay and the shot of the viper that makes it look like it's flying away from you. I wanted to ride along.
